Fly Denali Climber Support Base camp flights for Mt. McKinley, Mt. Foraker and Mt. Hunter climbing expeditions.

Looking for air support for climbing Mt. McKinley, Mt. Foraker or another Alaska Range mountain? Then let the Fly Denali, Inc. team of experienced pilots start you and your climbing team off right.

Our Cessna or DeHavilland ski-equipped airplanes will transport you to Base Camp in about 35 minutes. The flight itself is awe-inspiring and introduces you to the beauty of the Alaska Range. The planes take two to five climbers and gear.

  For an additional fee we can take you for a sightseeing trip or for route inspection before landing on the southeast fork of the Kahiltna. Once at Base Camp, the camp manager supplies pre-paid fuel and weather reports. Upon your return to Base Camp the manager will arrange for pick-up.

  • Kahiltna Glacier Base Camp: $500/person.
  • Ruth Glacier: $450/person.

      Mt. McKinley Climber Support

    Dry storage and camping provided. An additional $10.00 park entrance fee is charged by the National Park Service. Call for prices for other drop-off points. Price includes 125 pounds of gear per person. A charge of $1.00 per pound is levied for extra weight. Discounts are available for groups of six or more and for early reservations.

    Reservations: Now that you've decided climbing in the Alaska Range is your future, Fly Denali Inc. will put you into action. A $100.00 deposit per group is required. This deposit reserves your space, but the actual flight date/time are flexible.     Additional Services for Climbers Needing Expedition Support:

  • We supply secure gear storage.
  • We rent snowshoes, sleds, shovels, snow saws and ice axes.
  • We sell white gas, maps and wands.
  • We can help with transportation needs.
  • We can arrange for overnight accommodations.

    • NPS Orientations by Appointment Only: Climbing teams need to call the Talkeetna Ranger Station at earliest convenience to schedule an orientation appointment. Time slots will fill quickly, and are available from 8:30am to 4:30pm every day of the week. Arrive 30 minutes early to pay fees and receive permit.

    Register with National Park Service: A 60 day pre-registration period is required by the NPS for attempting one these mountains.
